Are you a recruitment consultant with time on your hands?

Why not use this time to do a bit of reading and upskill?

The ever changing role of a Recruitment Consultant is one that keeps us active and our brains ticking over all the time.   In this current market, many Recruitment Consultants are not as busy and if you’re on furlough, this free time can make you look for other things to keep your mind active.  Why not use this time to upskill and get ready to be even better in the new normal.

I have worked as a Recruitment Consultant for many many years’ and wanted to share with you my top 10 books that I feel have helped me advance my skills

  1. The Professional Recruiter’s Handbook: Delivering Excellence in Recruitment Practice – Jane Newell Brown
  2. Hiring for Attitude: A Revolutionary Approach to Recruiting and Selecting People with Both Tremendous Skills and Superb Attitude – Mark Murphy
  3. How to Hire A-Players – Eric Herrenkohl
  4. Hiring Talent: Decoding Levels of Work in the Behavioral Interview – Tom Foster
  5. The SMARTASS Recruiter – Jackie Handy (anyone in a recruitment consultant job should read this)
  6. On Recruitment – Mitch Sullivan
  7. Recruitment Gems Uncovered: The Ultimate Guide to Guaranteed Success & Wealth in Your Industry – Deenita Pattni
  8. Who – Geoff Smart, Randy Street
  9. High Velocity Hiring: How to Hire Top Talent in an Instant – Scott Wintrie
  10. The Robot-Proof Recruiter: A Survival Guide for Recruitment and Sourcing Professionals (When I first started in a recruitment consultant job this really inspired me)

This should keep you busy and inspire you! Why not get ahead whilst you have some time.

Until next time,

Cheryl
